Partners Abroad

Associations & Affiliations | Community Partners | Partners Abroad

We have the great privilege to partner with some outstanding people and organizations. While our partners don't ultimately define our church or share all of our views, we're glad to support and participate in the good things each of these groups is doing.
Please report broken links here.

Baptist Joint Committee on Religious Liberty

Primarily an education and advocacy organization, the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty is a leading voice in Washington, D.C., fighting to uphold the historic Baptist principle of religious freedom for all. It stands guard at the intersection of church and state, defending the first freedom of the First Amendment by protecting both the free exercise of religion and defending against its establishment by government.

The Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America / Bautistas por la Paz

BPFNA ~ Bautistas por la Paz is the largest network of Baptist peacemakers in the world. We celebrate and support the peacemaking work done by Baptist churches in our four home countries of Canada, the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico by raising the visibility of these efforts; bringing peacemakers together in regional and international gatherings; and providing resources, speakers and training to our members. We also actively connect with peacemakers from other traditions, faith-based and secular, to build alliances and work together toward our common goal of a more just and peaceful world.

Hopetree Family Services

The Mission of HopeTree Family Services is to provide Christian residential, educational, and support services to at-risk children and youth, and to adults with intellectual disabilities throughout Virginia. We do this by creating an environment in which adults with intellectual disabilities can experience the most complete life possible. We also serve children through residential and treatment foster care placements, clinical services, and through HopeTree Academy.

Jon & Tanya Parks - Slovakia

Jon and Tanya Parks are Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field personnel serving among the Roma community in Košice, Slovakia and surrounding areas. Despite their status as Europe’s largest ethnic minority group, many Roma — especially in Slovakia and other Eastern European countries —experience  discrimination and live in generational cycles of poverty and dependence. Jon and Tanya believe that education and the Gospel can make the biggest difference in forming a new future for Roma communities.

Journey Partners - Zimbabwe

JourneyPartners connects resources, people, challenges and opportunities around the world and at home. We focus in three main arenas: clean and available water, education and resources, and health and medicine. Past celebrations included the construction of a 75,000 gallon water reservoir in Gweru, Zimbabwe; assisting the new Alliance of Baptists in Brazil in the publication of Walter Shurden's “Four Fragile Freedoms” in Portugese, and delivery of more than two tons of supplementary textbooks to Jones County Schools in eastern North Carolina. More recent partnerships have brought more than a dozen cross-cultural mission immersion teams to Zimbabwe, and included the construction of a hostel to house AIDS orphans in Masembura and shipment of more than 500 nursing and medical textbooks to nursing schools in several developing areas.
