The loss of loved ones can be some of the most difficult experiences of of our lives. Pain, grief and the practical demands and details following the death of a family member can be overwhelming to navigate. Our members and staff at Williamsburg Baptist Church are eager to be a part of the community who will surround you and walk with you in the midst of your grief and loss. We can provide support in a number of ways:
Typically, churches work in partnership with funeral homes to assist families to make the necessary decisions and arrangements following a death. Funeral homes can be a wonderful resource for guiding families through the business decisions regarding cremation or burial, and they also handle many of the actual arrangements.
We at the church will do our best to accommodate every request from WBC Members and Friends for funerals and memorial services. We are also glad to support community members as we are able.
- We can provide pastoral support and someone to talk to in the wake of the death of your loved one.
- We can help you plan a funeral or memorial service, and we can host and conduct the service.
- We can help connect you to someone who can provide longer-term grief support.

Donations and Fees:
The following are suggested honorariums for WBC Members and Friends, as well as spouses and lineal family members. You are, of course, welcome to offer more or less depending on the family's wishes:
