A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose aim is to extend gracious hospitality among the socially displaced and to systemically change the cycle of poverty one friend at a time.

All Together Williamsburg

The mission of All Together is to improve the quality of life of the community of Greater Williamsburg by bringing together people across racial, ethnic and cultural lines to communicate and engage in activities that foster unity, inclusiveness and equal opportunity. All Together provides opportunities for people to gather socially to exchange ideas and learn about one another. Through an annual scholarship for graduating high school seniors, we recognize students for their kindness and spirit of bridge-building.

Avalon

Avalon Center works to end domestic and sexual violence by breaking the cycle of abuse through prevention, education, shelter and support services in the greater Williamsburg and Middle Peninsula areas of Virginia. By offering tools for safety, self-sufficiency and empowerment, Avalon helps break the cycle of abuse and build a stronger, healthier community.

The Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) is a vibrant community at the College of William & Mary. Since 1926, we seek to passionately worship God, live in authentic Christian community, serve global needs with the compassion of Christ, and explore servant-leadership to offer lifelong service throughout the world.

Community of Faith Mission (COFM)

​Community of Faith Mission is a faith-based, non-governmental low barrier emergency shelter program which, through the efforts of volunteers, shall provide emergency shelter and food on a weekly basis from November through March for men, women, and families who are homeless in the greater Williamsburg, Virginia area.

Equality Virginia

Equality Virginia is the leading advocacy organization in Virginia seeking equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. EV believes in a truly inclusive Commonwealth where all are equally valued, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, and a Virginia that is a safe, welcoming, and equal place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and their families to live, work, and play.

Faith in Action

​WFIA provides assistance with everyday tasks of life to seniors 60 and older, and chronically ill and disabled adults living in Williamsburg, James City County and the Bruton District of York County (Greater Williamsburg Area). Services include, but are not limited to: transportation, respite care, visiting, well-check calls, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and yard work.

FISH

An all-volunteer not-for-profit agency providing help to residents of the greater Williamsburg area. FISH depends entirely upon a caring community for food, clothing, volunteers and financial donations, in order to serve our neighbors in need.

Greater City is a movement of college students seeking to love those living through homelessness and poverty in Williamsburg.

Greater Wmbg Outreach Mission (GWOM)

The Greater Williamsburg Outreach Mission (GWOM) is an incorporated coalition of faith groups committed to creating strategies, plans, and programs that will address the critical needs of the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless. GWOM provides a faith-based, non-profit umbrella under which existing program expansions and new initiatives can be launched and developed in coordination with other community-based essential services available to the marginalized. Services address time sensitive needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, as well as long term needs including employment, addiction recovery, and financial counseling.

  • ​The Harbor - is a day center providing people experiencing homelessness a safe place to go for respite, comfort, and access to amenities normally found in a loving home.
  • Grace Haven Family Shelter -  is an emergency shelter serving families experiencing homelessness.
  • The Community Kitchen - is  a no-charge, weekly mid-day dinner and fellowship to food-insecure individuals.

Lackey Free Clinic

​For over 20 years, Lackey Clinic has been providing quality medical care for low income and uninsured residents of York County, Greater Williamsburg and the Virginia Peninsula.

Latisha's House

​Dedicated to helping women trapped in negative circumstances or exploited by the sex industry find their way home, Latisha's House provides a trauma informed safe house for victims of sex trafficking.  Once safe, the ladies acquire the tools to live a healthy and productive life becoming survivor to no longer victims.

Olde Town Medical & Dental Center

This public-private non-profit 501(c)3 agency has provided cost effective, comprehensive health care (including obstetrical) to the uninsured, Medicaid, and Medicare population since 1993. OTMDC offers a full range of medical and dental services for all ages.​

Daniel Scruggs is our musician- and drummer-in-residence at Williamsburg Baptist Church. Daniel is a world traveler and an avid instrument collector, with over 150 instruments from 6 continents. Daniel is a teacher and peacemaker, and frequently leads workshops and musical experiences in schools and organizations.

United Way Community Resource Center

​The Community Resource Center of the United Way of Greater Williamsburg provides direct assistance and referrals to other organizations and agencies for those needing assistance with services in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy engages people of faith and goodwill in advocating economic, racial, social and environmental justice in Virginia’s policies and practices through education, prayer and action.

Walk the Talk

The Williamsburg Walk The Talk (WWTT) Mentoring Program is designed so that volunteer mentors can meet with mentees at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail (VPRJ) prior to their release to guide them in making preparations for their release and to be available for advice and moral support after release.  The purpose is to encourage a smooth and successful transition from incarceration to finding a better quality of life in the greater Williamsburg area. The long-term objective is to reduce the jail’s recidivism rate.
