As a reinforcement and extension of the Bible study in Sunday School, Williamsburg Baptist offers Sunday evenings of interactive faith and fun for youth in grades 6-12.
YOUTH GROUP THEME: God loves your beautiful soul
People have often said that young people are the future of the church. The Youth Ministry at Williamsburg Baptist Church takes a different approach. We believe that our teenagers aren’t the future of the church. No, they are the church. We cherish people of all ages. Middle and high school students play a vital role in our church life. It is important to our congregation to help these persons grow in their faith and help them deal with issues relevant to their lives

Getting away from Williamsburg and our regular surroundings has been an integral aspect of the Youth Ministry at Williamsburg Baptist. Retreats enable people to grow closer with each other and with God. In many ways, retreat opportunities are an important aspect of Christian discipleship.
Retreats include:
* Whitewater Rafting Trip
* Winter Ski Retreat
* Beach Excursion
* Ropes Course
A natural response to the Christian faith is to serve others in the name of Christ. The Youth Group holds firmly to Jesus’ example of servanthood and we continually seek ways to serve others in the church, community, and in the world. Our mission efforts have included:
o Visiting senior adults in nursing homes
o Letter writing to the military who are serving oversees
o Food drive for FISH
o Donating money to AVALON
o Participating in a "Local Mission Week" in Williamsburg
o Helping with Vacation Bible School
o Mission trip to Cuba
What would a Youth Group be without fun social outings? We wouldn’t know at Williamsburg Baptist. The Youth Group always has something exciting going on. Whether its attending a high school football game, going bowling, a movie night, scrapbooking, playing miniature golf, or having a Super Bowl Party, the Youth are involved in lots of exciting things. These outings have provided great opportunities for the Youth to invite their friends to come, relax, and have fun together.
The Youth work hard to provide money for their activities by holding fundraisers throughout the calendar year. In the fall, the Youth Group collects money from parking for William & Mary football games. For Mother’s Day, we sell orchid corsages. The Youth also host a car wash and bake sale when the weather warms up! Their efforts, along with the help of many dedicated parents and adult leaders, make for a successful fundraising campaign.
