Youth Winter Retreat

A Note from Mark . . .

Some of you have had questions about the Youth trip. Did you lose anyone? Were there any broken bones? In an attempt to answer these questions, the ski retreat report is now in...and I have a GOOD report for you. We returned home with the same number of people that we left with. Nothing was broken. Well, if I'm going to be completely honest, I had better strike that last statement - for some of us, our pride was broken as we tumbled down the ski slopes with our faces buried in the snow. It's hard being graceful when you can't control your skis.

Pride or no pride, we had a great time on the Youth Ski Retreat. The heavy rain and fog departed at our arrival at Eagle Eyrie. Students and adults alike exuded great levels of enthusiasm and excitement. Good times were enjoyed by all 32 people. Bible studies, discussions, games, skiing, and tubing made for a memorable weekend. People have already begun asking if we will have the 2005 Youth Ski Retreat. Let's put it on the calendar!

A special thanks to all of the adults who helped with this trip - you guys are real troopers! Please stop by my office if you would like to see some of the photos taken on the retreat.
